Julia Ann Morath, 14

-

Julia Ann Morath, 14, passed away on April 7, 2017 in Royersford, Penn. Although her days on this earth were few, the lives she touched around her were many. Her kind spirit and energetic attitude will be missed by all.

Julia was a 9th grader at Spring-Ford High School. She was very active at Christ Church of the Valley where she enjoyed spending time assisting special needs children, helping children dealing with personal struggles, and being involved in the P98 Program and various other small group ministries. She spent a lot of time in the church developing close bonds with the pastors and other youth. Her brother, Nathan, who suffers from a genetic disorder called Leigh’s Disease, inspired her to volunteer with an organization called Happy to Be Home as well as start a small foundation for him called Smiles for Nathan.

Helping others was a passion of hers. In fact, she traveled to Belize this past July for a Mission Trip through her church where she was able to touch dozens of lives through helping to build a church and share the Good Word with the children of Belize.

Julia also loved horseback riding and spending time with her friends.

Julia leaves behind her mother, Stephanie Morath, her father, Kurt Morath, her stepmother, Christina, her twin brother, Nathan, her stepbrother, Gian, and stepsister Adrianna, her grandmother, Janice Morath, her uncles and aunts, Kerry Morath, Eric Britt, Chris and Lorrie Adamkiewicz and their three children, Kasey, Alexa and Haley, Jeff and Janell Brokowski and their four children, Adalynn, Reece Brody, and Levi and many great aunts and uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Glenn Hartzell and Bob-O Morath, and grandmother Ann Britt.

Services for Julia will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at Christ Church of the Valley in Royersford. The family will begin receiving friends and loved ones at 9:00 AM with the funeral service to follow. Julia will be laid to rest at Limerick Garden of Memories immediately after. Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, is in charge of arrangements.
