I’m a resident of West Pottsgrove and I was concerned about the safety factor of the lights being out along the road at Upland Square behind the Target store. What will it take for the West Pottsgrove supervisors to get those lights on so that there’s more safety when travelling down towards Sell Road then down to Manatawny Road?

I hope that everyone who is unemployed in the state of Pennsylvania remembers at election time that Gov. Wolf laid off 500 employees at the unemployment facility making it impossible for you to get through on that line, a constant busy signal. It’s time we vote this man out of office.

Why do we have to be the law enforcement country of the world? Why can’t Germany, France or Great Britain take the lead once in awhile? We need to keep our noses out of the Middle East until we are threatened. Trump should have gotten the Congress involved like the Constitution states. When Obama had the same problem Trump said we should mind our own business. What a liar.

To Mike M., I’m a senior and a Democrat. I do not like the so-called illegals anymore than the illegals. So before you label all, I suggest that you and your cronies who all label Democrats as liberal that maybe you and your cohorts should jump on the first plane out of here.

Just want to say thank you to the Lower Pottsgrove Police for having a stakeout for the school zone at Lower Pottsgrove. Every day I take my grandkids and the people fly on that road more than 15 mph. The other morning they got some people. I’m just so happy. Thank you so much for the Lower Pottsgrove Police. We support you.

Thank you to the Boyertown Area Senior High for “The Sound of Music.” It was wonderful. You felt like you were sitting in New York with all the beautiful scenery. Thank you Scott DeJohn and everybody, the crew, the volunteers. The singing and the music was absolutely beautiful. Thank you again. Janice and Glen Hull

The 25 mph on Industrial Highway is ridiculous. Mercury, please file a Right-to-Know for that required traffic study prior to the change. No one drives 25 mph there and there are virtually no pedestrians. No signage on the road to announce the change. What sudden safety concern imaginarily appeared to prompt this? None. North End

When Donald Trump bombed that air base in Syria the next day they were flying planes out of that same airport. He did a good job. Give me a break. This guy doesn’t know what he is doing.

I’m reading in The Mercury about all these additions and things the school districts want to build. I think that if they go ahead and do something like that without the authority of the taxpayers then all taxpayers should be able to use the facilities as well as the students. Imagine that you were playing in a football game and half way through you were losing so you changed the rules so your touchdowns are worth more points. Doesn’t sound right does it? Now think about Mitch McConnell changing the rules to confirm an unqualified Supreme Court Judge. It will come back to bite them.

Now that’s smart, warn Vladimir Putin of an attack in Syria before you send the $30 million worth of bombs. That warning was passed onto Bashar al-Assad just in time for him to move equipment and men out of harms way. Great.

Susan Rice has done nothing wrong. She is just doing her job. If the FBI notices a number of people calling Russia they will give her the messages with the names blackened out which means they are masked. If she then notices that more calls have been made by the same person before, then she could ask the FBI to unmask this person and give her the name. She must get approval. In this case the person or persons were on the Trump staff. That’s her job. Fact Checker

What genius in our fair town decided to change the speed limit on Industrial Highway to 25 mph? Now we cannot only be stopped at every intersection in town by either a stop sign or red light but we must also be restricted on a road with virtually no cross traffic. My car doesn’t even coast to 25 mph so I ride my brakes frequently. While the potholes in our beloved burg assaults our axles, shocks and tires, the constant stopping is wearing out our brake pads. Has anybody thought about how much more we’re going to pay in school taxes if we get all these foreign people over here, these illegals? That’s my thought.
