Esther Jean Van Dine, 81, of Boyertown
Esther Jean Van Dine, 81, the wife of Hugh (Ed) Van Dine for 50 years, of Boyertown passed away April 10, 2017 at her home.
Born in Oley, she was the daughter of the late Eston and Cathrine Herner.
She worked as a machine operator at Boyertown Packing for 20 years, and retired from American Belt in 1998.
Esther is survived by two daughters, Lora A., wife of Steven Rokita of Oley; Shannon M., wife of Kenneth Eppehimer of Barto; a foster son, Raymond Dardzinski of Boyertown; four granddaughters, Charlene Aston, Steph Rokita, Tabitha Rokita, and Kaitlyn Eppehimer; a grandson, Garrett Eppehimer; two great-granddaughters, Lillyann Elizabeth Aston and Sophia Rokita; a great-grandson, Connor Aston; two sisters, Anna, widow of Ted Snyder of Oley; and Thelma, wife of Charlie Downer of Oley. She was predeceased by a brother, Eston Herner Jr. and his wife Eleanor.
A viewing will be held at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Limerick Garden of Memories, on Monday April 17 at 12:00 followed by a funeral service. Interment to follow at Limerick Garden of Memories.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Esther’s memory to Ark Bible Chapel, 88 Woodchoppertown Road, Boyertown, PA 19512.
