To the poor uninformed Trump supporter who believes his lie that he is working for free, apparently you haven’t heard about his 17 golf trips in only 81 days in office at a cost to taxpayers of $21.6 million. You call that free?

I was recently at a pub and I heard a woman implore the patrons to boycott Yuengling beer because Dick Yuengling supports President Trump. I asked her if she considered that Yuengling employees hundreds of Pennsylvanians in a region that lacks good jobs and why does she hate those who don’t share her political views? The article in Wednesday’s Mercury regarding Memorial Park included a diagram that showed a tennis court and indicated it was unusable. What a shame. Perhaps the Greater Pottstown Tennis Association could do something about bringing back public tennis courts to Pottstown. Billy Jean King

To all the seniors who are concerned about their property tax, our politicians are doing everything they can to help us out there. They put more taxes on it instead of taking it off, Montgomery County added some more, we need more police here, we need more fire engines, we need more of everything. A lot of these things that they’re asking for are not needed and some of it is actually wasteful.
