Leroy G. Hoffman, 91, of Walnut Woods, Boyertown, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Black River Road, Bethlehem where he had resided since April 18.

Born in Douglass Township, Montgomery Co., he was the son of the late William S. and Mary Rachel (Guildin) Hoffman.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Dorothy (Wentzel) Hoffman, 1990 and his second wife Cevilla (Leh) Mack Hoffman in 2006.

He was also predecease­d by his two brothers, Paul G., Boyertown, and Henry G., Perkiomenv­ille and his sister, Erma (Hoffman) Eshbach, Boyertown.

Surviving are his nephew Bruce H. (Kathleen) Hoffman, Richmond Twp. Kutztown, Dolores Fluke, Blandon, Joyce (Blaine) Hagenbuch, Leesburg , Florida, Elaine Dotterer, Boyertown and Joanne Wentling, East Greenville.

He is also survived by his second wife’s son, Gordon W. (Thelma) Mack, Boyertown.

Mr. Hoffman served in the Army during the Korean War as a medic.

He worked at Bethlehem Steel and Bally Block before retiring in 1989.

He was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sassamansv­ille.

He was a 60 year member of the American Legion Charles B. Yerger Post 0471, and a lifetime member of the Keystone Fire Engine Co.

A celebratio­n of life and faith funeral service will be held at Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, 111 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, on Thursday May 4, 2017 with the Rev. Matthew Finney officiatin­g.

A viewing will be held 9:00am-11:00am with services being held at 11:00am by Pastor Finney. There will be a military presentati­on to follow. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul’s Evangelica­l Lutheran Church, 1809 Hoffmansvi­lle Road, P.O. Box 370, Sassamansv­ille, PA 19472, or St. Luke’s Hospice House, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015 would be greatly appreciate­d.
