Catherine (Kopina) Kalbach, 94, of Sellersville

Catherine (Kopina) Kalbach, 94, of Sellersville, widow of John B. Kalbach, Sr., passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Grandview Hospital, Sellersville. Born in Darkwater, PA, she was a daughter of the late Michael Kopina and the late Maria (Hafinak) Kopina.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol J. Kalbach, Chalfont, her son, John B. Kalbach, Jr. and his wife Kathy, State College: her brother, John Kopina,

Frackville; her sister, Irene Kunigonis, FL,; and her four grandchildren, Karen Petro, Matthew Petro, Elizabeth Kalbach and Kenneth Kalbach. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Regan.

As a single mother, Catherine worked as an office Manager for Eastern Warehouse for twenty five years until retiring.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #338 and a volunteer for over ten years at the Barth Elementary School in Pottstown (Golden Sage).

An active member of St. James Luthern Church, Pottstown, Catherine lived for her family, her faith, and her love of reading.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday May 3, 2017 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Kay Bender Braun. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be a viewing Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made in her memory to St. James Lutheran Church, 1101 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
