Road closures scheduled for Monday
PennDOT announced Thursday that road closures in Upper Providence will take place beginning on May 1.
Upper Providence Township Authority is scheduled to close South Lewis Road between Borough Line Road and Bechtel Road in Upper Providence Township beginning Monday for utility installation, PennDOT said.
The road closure will be in effect through early August.
During construction, South Lewis Road motorists will be detoured over Borough Line Road and Hess Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
Upper Providence Township Authority will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
