UPPER MERION » Washington Memorial National Carillon at Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge will present the 2017 Frank P. Law Summer Carillon Concert Series beginning in July.

The series is every Wednesday at 7:30, and starts on July 5. This year the series will feature performers from all over the USA, including one Russian-born carillonneur. Some of the performers are new to Valley Forge while some are returning favorites, and the ever-popular Irish Thunder Pipes & Drums bagpipe band will perform music of the British Isles again on Aug. 16. The series concludes on Aug. 30.

As always, all concerts are free and open to the public. These are hourlong outdoor concerts, so bring a blanket, lawn chair, snacks or dinner. The Chapel Cabin Shop will be open for refreshments and souvenirs. All concerts are played rain or shine.
