Take a look at what friends and neighbors are saying about local hot topics and join in on the conversation.

I see where James Mattis said we’re not winning in Afghanistan. I thought Donald Trump said that he knows more than the generals and he’s going to wipe these places off the map. That means we’re going to send more troops there and that means more body bags coming back. He’s an Einstein. He knows more than the generals do.

I live at 42 E. 3rd St. My cat Mango had gotten out June 1. She’s an orange tabby. If anybody in the area has seen her or has her, please call me. She needs medication. My number is 484-447-1704. It’s very important I get her back. Please if anybody knows anything or has seen her please call me.

War never really determines who’s right or wrong, just who’s left.

I asked for action on Industrial Highway about the bike lane and I see it’s happening. I’m very happy on a Friday. Beautiful job down there. Thank you.

We all go through some sort of pain in life so try and make yourself braver, stronger, pure, more peaceful, more loving, less selfish — the kind of person you always wanted to be so one day your sorrow will turn to joy.

For the person who watched the comedy show about the president that depicts him, I’m not sure what to say about that. If you can’t tell who is the real president and the real president’s wife from the parody ones on TV that’s where the problem begins I think.

It’s time for the actors like Whoopi Goldberg, Madonna, who said Trump should be killed, and the other people who promised would leave our country if Trump won the election to leave. He won legally even if you did not learn in school why we have an Electoral College. Why are you still here bad mouthing our country? If you cannot show respect for our president you show no respect for our country and the Americans who voted for him. You are not wanted here. It’s time to go.

Have A Nice Trip

There are so many problems with Pottstown. One of them that I see is on the corner of Industrial Highway and South Hanover Street, the site of the old Mrs. Smith’s Pie Company putting loads of apartments in there which will add more children to the school district. I thought that was supposed to be zoned for commercial, something that would have brought money into Pottstown not cost us more money. Problems just seems to pile up.

The person telling Martha how Obama served his country with honor and grace, well it appears you were one of those who benefited sneakily from him as he did quite a lot behind closed doors and was in my opinion as sneaky as Nixon. He is still up to no good as is Hillary and not everyone turns a blind eye to it as you do.

Well in Friday’s Mercury it says that in Congress the partisan guns are silenced by the real ones and also that it’s wrong and finally the politicians agreed on something, until a day later and then Pelosi got on the radio and started telling everybody how bad the Republicans were again and blamed the Republicans for the shooting.

At the beginning I was a little scared of Trump. I wanted him in but I was a little bit scared because he’s Gemini but he’s turned out to be a strong Gemini and I’m prouder of him as each day goes by. He is strong and I love the way he manipulates his enemies. He is good, best president we’ve had in my lifetime and he’s definitely a breath of fresh air from what we’ve had for eight years. For eight years we went without a president and finally got a decent president in there.

To the caller who was saying thank you to the Pottstown Water Treatment for warning us about a water problem that happened on June 13, that is their responsibility to notify the borough residents so that if there are issues we can take precautions. They didn’t do anything great, they didn’t do anything over and above what they should be doing. That’s what your taxes are paying for because if somebody gets sick and would die they could sue the borough or the plant.
