J. LaRue (Frech) Casper, 91, of Douglassville

J. LaRue (Frech) Casper, 91, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on Thursday June 22, 2017, surrounded by her family, at Amity Place in Douglassville. She was the wife of Nicholas Casper, with whom she would have celebrated 72 years of marriage in August.

Born in Pottstown, PA in July 1925, LaRue was the daughter of the late Jacob and Pearl (Dengler) Frech. She graduated from Pottstown High School in 1943 and worked at J. Fegely & Son, Inc., Stowe, PA, for more than 35 years. She enjoyed writing poetry, playing bingo, going on bus trips and spending time with her siblings. She also had several fond memories of a special group of girlfriends who began meeting regularly when their husbands were away in World War II and who continued to meet until recently.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Casper is survived by two daughters, Donna Miller, wife of Donald Miller, Oceanside, CA, and Lori Kramer, wife of Stacey Kramer, Phoenixville, PA; and two sisters, Betty Manjardi and Mary Ann Pence, both of Pottstown, PA. She was preceded in death by siblings June Zerr and Robert Frech.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA 19464, will be handling the arrangements.
