Edward R. Marchetti, 82, of Boyertown

Edward R. Marchetti, 82, of Boyertown, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Seasons Hospice. He was the husband Betty J. Sabo, whom he married in 1960.

Born July 5, 1935 in Drums, he was the son of the late Ceserine (Piazza) and Joseph Marchetti.

Edward worked at Eastern Foundry as a mold maker for over 40 years. Additionally, he was an assistant grounds keeper at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown. He was a life member of Friendship Hook & Ladder and the Gilbertsville Fire Company. Edward was also a founding member of Flying Acres Motorcycle Club & Black Powder Gang Muzzle Loading Club.

In addition to his wife, Betty of 57 years, Ed is survived by his son, Edward J. Marchetti and his daughter, Brenda L. Shultz, wife of Phillip. His five sisters and three brothers. Six granddaughters: Candice, Kelsey, Taylor, Autumn, Savannah and Sierra; a grandson: Xavian and three great-grandchildren: Madison, Bryan and Ava.

He was predeceased by his son, Brian R. Marchetti.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Morrell Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, PA. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
