Philip Ronald ‘Bud’ Krasley, 89

Philip Ronald “Bud” Krasley, 89, husband of Aura Krasley, and the late Lillian (Fazio) Krasley, of Paso Robles, CA, died August 6, 2017 in the Twin Cities Hospital in Templeton, CA. Born on October 22, 1927, he was a son of the late Mary (Powers) and Oliver Krasley. Mr. Krasley was a graduate of the Royersford High School. A veteran, he served for the US Army during World War II. Mr. Krasley worked in several textile mills in Pennsylvania and retired in 1990 as Superintendent of the Knitting Mill of Prison Authority in San Luis Obispo, CA.

He loved being outdoors gardening, fishing, canoeing and hunting. He was an original member of the Royers Rod & Gun Club in Wellsboro, PA. He was a cofounder of the “Horsehoe Club” with a few friends at Atascadero Lake Park. Mr. Krasley was a very active member of the Knights of Columbus at both St. Williams Church in Atascadero and St. Rose Church in Paso Robles, CA. He also volunteered his time assisting with the Meal on Wheels program that brought meals to many local homebound seniors.

In addition to his wife of 35 years, Mr. Krasley is survived by Daughter; Lori (Krasley), wife of Jerry McKay, of Altaville, CA, Son; Philip O. Krasley, of Carlsborg, WA, Grandchildren; Philip O. Kraskley, Jr., of Fernwood, Idaho, Kara and Garren McKay, of Sacramento, CA, Brother; Eugene Krasley, of Limerick, PA, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and first wife, Mr. Krasley was pre-deceased by brothers; Arthur and Jack Krasley, Sister; Mary (Krasley) Himmel.

A funeral mass was held on August 9, 2017 at the St. Rose Roman Catholic Church in Paso Robles, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Philip’s memory.
