It doesn’t matter to me if the Confederate monuments are taken down or whether they are allowed to stay in place. I question those who are willing to stand up for men who clearly wanted to die before they gave up their free labor through slavery. These monuments were erected long after the Civil War and they represent people who lost a war against the United States. History will remain the same no matter what they try to erase. I too am getting a lot of phone calls that call me by my first name and tell me they need my credit card because I won a bonus check and blah, blah, blah. So I started telling them “Hey my cow died so I don’t need your bull. Don’t call me anymore.” Works for me. Calls keep getting less and I hope they stop all together soon.
This is in response to Jay Miller about Donald Trump and his golf cart. Jay, you make me laugh. You take the cake. Lady Di I see where President Trump came out and condemned the people in Charlottesville on both sides especially the altright but that’s not good enough for fake news. But I guess if he would have condemned the supremacist group Black Lives Matter then they would really be on him for what he would have said. This is what happens when the snowflake liberals keep trying to change American history. There was a Civil War. Get over it. It’s over 150 years ago.
I have to say I agree with Jim Fitch. I totally agree that the Republicans and their whining just has to stop. Jim Fitch you are truly correct about the Republicans whining. Keep the comments coming.
Keep Sept. 16 open for the seventh annual Pottstown Pet Fair at Memorial Park. In addition to that we’re having a very interesting class, CPR training for small animals. It’s a three-hour course. There’s a small fee involved and you have to register. You can find out information by checking the Pet Fair Facebook site or if you’re in borough hall pick up a flyer; there’s an information table. My beloved Pottstown what are you doing? It seems like you’re really concerned about the quality of life with 25 mph speed limits and bike paths and hiking trails. How about the truck traffic on Hanover Street and Farmington Avenue? It shatters your windows and your teeth. Could it be something to do with the liquid fuel tax? That’s what I’m guessing but anyway think about us for a little bit.
