On Aug. 14 I had cataract surgery done at PMMC and I’d just like to thank the surgical team for helping me out. They did an excellent job. They were serious but they were also humorous. I was watching a TV show on slavery in America and it said one of the first if not the first slave owner in America was a black man that bought another black man. Also that in Africa it was the Africans selling the Africans into slavery to the traders who then sold them to the Dutch traders and then to America but we never hear about that. I never even heard that at the time when they did teach American history.
I am protesting the existence of the traffic lights. I find it offensive that the use of red and yellow have racist overtones. Don’t use green either because it represents the rich and their cash dollars. Let’s take traffic lights down immediately.

I see in Sound Off once in awhile they’re blaming Obama for some of this carrying on that was going on. He should be blamed for most of it because most of this started before Trump was even in office.

To the Pottstown Streets Department, please put Wilson Street in the 200 block from Charlotte to Hanover streets at the top of your list for repaving. It has been dug up quite a bit and needs to be smoothed out, a heavily traveled street. Wally
