Pochet cards 36 to lead Rams past Phoenixville at Turtle Creek

The Spring-Ford boys golf team got its 2017 season off to a good start Tuesday, outshooting Phoenixville in a nine-hole match at Turtle Creek.

Ben Pochet took low-man honors by carding a evenpar 36. Jack Straub and Luke Watson followed at 39 for a Ram unit coming off a runner-up finish in the Pioneer Athletic Conference last fall.

Mitchell Schwartz shot a 43 to lead the Phantoms, with Parker Stevens and J.T. Sinnot scoring 43s. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 217, POTTSGROVE 245 » The Vikings turned in the match’s five lowest scores as they handled the Falcons in a nine-hole PAC contest at Gilbertsville.

Andrew Burkhardt’s round of 42 netted him lowman honors, with Christian Riehs one back at 43.
