Carmelita C. Growcott, 81, of Royersford

Carmelita C. Growcott, 81, of Royersford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Born April 13, 1936 in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Julia (Biscotti) and the late John Carfagno and wife of George W. Growcott.

Mrs. Growcott was a graduate of the 1954 Class of the former Norristown High School, was on the class reunion committee; NAHS Band Boosters; and a member of the Tournament of Bands National Judges Association. She was a charter member, past president, secretary and treasurer of Keystone AMBUCS and regional treasurer of AMBUCS District 7A. She was a secretary for over 41 years, retiring last year from Streamlight, Inc.; and member of St. Theresa of Calcutta Church, Limerick, PA. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all and she will be dearly missed by many.

She is survived by her spouse; two sons, Anthony (Kim Barr) Lannutti, Nicholas (Renee Bazela) Lannutti; two daughters, Laura Wolfinger, Linda (Gregory) Weber; her 12 grandchildren; and her 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday August 26, 2017 from 10:00 am 12:00 pm at the Caramenico Funeral Home Inc., 403 E. Main St. Norristown PA. 19401. A memorial service will follow the calling time for Carmelita at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
