Sandy Anthony Laghi

Sandy Anthony Laghi passed away peacefully on August 20, 2017.

Born on March 5, 1927 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Gulio and Maria Laghi. Sandy married his wife Mary in 1948. His family remembers him as a kind, loving, happy person who loved family and friends alike.

Sandy lived a full life as a practicing Catholic, a WWII veteran, member of the FOP, member of the American Legion and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus.

He is survived by his daughter Sandra, wife of Douglas R. Mattson of Havertown; son Daniel A. Laghi and his wife Janet S. of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Justin D. Mattson and his wife Jennifer M. of Havertown; Renata N., wife of Scott E. Drozdowski of Havertown, Jeanna M. Mattson of Havertown, and greatgrandchildren Lily P. Mattson, Juliet A. Mattson and Lucas M. Drozdowski. He was predeceased by sisters Lazarene, Philamena, Clementine, Rose, Adeline and brother, Louis.

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening August 24, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA. An additional viewing will be held on Friday morning August 25, 2017 from 9-10 A.M. also at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C., 223 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA at 10:30 A.M. Interment will full military honors will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sandy’s name may be made to St. Aloysius School 220 North Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
