I wish the charities that solicit through the mail would offer something other than return address labels as an incentive. I now have over 250 years’ supply and that is not counting the ones I already threw away.

The hypocrisy on the left amazes me. Hundreds, thousands gather for antihate holding candles, holding hands in prayer but as soon as a high school coach wants to lead his football team in prayer before a game for the safety of his players those same people are opposed to it protesting the separation of church and state. When an NFL team the other night gathered in prayer the same people are OK with it. We can’t have it both ways. Either you’re for it or against it.

I read in the Sound Off where somebody came up with the bright idea of taking all the traffic lights down. What in the world are people thinking? Why would you say that? First of all people put that kind of stuff in just to stir up the public. That’s why we have all this stuff going on in the world today. People don’t think before they say something like that.

Congressman Costello has made a political calculation that his opposition to Donald Trump will distract from his defeat on health care reform and positions on immigration and global wealth redistribution which are at odds with the interests of American workers. Mark Furlong

I’d like to solve the dispute about the monuments we have all over our great nation. It all comes down to who are the patriots and who are the traitors. If you fought against Abraham Lincoln’s proclamation, you are a true traitor. If you fought to defend President Lincoln’s proclamation, you were a true patriot. To have monuments erected to honor traitors is simply unfair to the true patriots who fought and died for our great nation. KM

I’ve asked this question before and I’m going to ask it again because I got no answers. How come when you buy certain bags of potting soil or top soil they contain moisture? If you buy dry cow manure, that’s what it is a bag of dry, and it’s not all that heavy. So if you buy that bag of top soil with water why are you buying the water when you have your own? Can someone answer that question for me? A Senior

I would like to thank the two Good Samaritans who helped me on Saturday morning, Aug. 19, after a biking accident in Phoenixville. They were very kind and took care of me and made sure that I got home safely.

Didn’t Trump say when he was running for president about the waste of money in Afghanistan and we should pull the troops out because we can’t have all these people being killed? And then he does just the opposite of what he said. What a hypocrite.

A short time ago I called Sound Off in need of a cane. Through Sound Off I would publicly like to thank the numerous responders. A special thank you to the lady and gentleman on their way to Costco who brought one to my home. A tip of my hat and a salute and a very, very thank you to all of

So Donald Trump announces a new strategy for Afghanistan. So what happened to his campaign promise of no nation building and he will pull us out of Afghanistan when he is president? Not so easy when you’re in the driver’s seat. George W. Bush got us into this war and we’ve been there for 16 years but how do you Trump lovers like it that he broke yet another promise?

I think it’s funny that the same people who tell the Democrats that their candidate lost and they should get over it and move on are upset about the Confederate statues coming down. They lost, get over it, move on.

Donnie Trump is having trouble keeping people in his administration. They’re running like rats off of the sinking ship which is pretty much what it is. At the first sign of trouble he throws them under the bus to save his own skin.

Trump saluted a racist sheriff who is a convicted criminal and trashed a war hero who has brain cancer. That right there shows his character.
