Thelma Doris Wisler, 96, widow of the late Seneca Wisler, died Sunday, August 27, 2017 in the Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilita­tion Center.

She was born in Spring City to the late George and the late Adda (Buckwalter) Lee. A 1938 graduate of Spring City High School. Thelma married Seneca in 1940 and had two children. She loved her family and enjoyed being a homemaker. Thelma was very active in the Methodist community. She was a member of the Spring City United Methodist church where she was the attendance taker for many years and when the church closed she became a member of the Royersford United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed serving the community as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Thelma is survived by two adoring children: Linda Boness, wife of J. Robert, Royersford and Richard L. Wisler, husband of Susan, Royersford; five grandchild­ren: Lisa Rinker, Christophe­r Wisler, Heather Wisler, Shelly Gaugler and Zachary Wisler and five great grandchild­ren: Paige Smith, Brody Smith, Mia Nellingan, Scarlet Wisler, and Christian Wisler. Preceding her in death are her three sisters: Mary Bauer, Anna Collins and Pearl Lee and three brothers: Russell Lee, Blaine Lee and Harold Lee, granddaugh­ter: Richelle Wisler and great granddaugh­ter, Fiona Wisler.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA . Visitors and guests are invited to come prior to the service to greet the family from 9:30 – 11:00. At Thelma’s request, guests are asked to wear vibrant colors to her service. Burial will be immediatel­y following the ceremony in Providence Church of The Brethren Cemetery in Royersford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Thelma’s name to the Resident’s fund at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilita­tion Center, 1600 Black Rock Road, Royersford, PA 19468.
