Patricia Matyasovsky

Patricia (Broske) Matyasovsky, CRNA, was taken into the loving arms our Lord on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

She was the widow of the late Joseph Matyasovsky and daughter of the late John J. and Nell (Urban) Broske. She received her education at SS Peter & Paul School and Sacred Heart High School, Plains, PA, Wyoming Valley Hospital School of Nursing & Wilkes College, Wilkes Barre, PA, and Robert Packer School of Anesthesia, Sayre, PA.

In the late 1950’s, she came to work at the Pottstown Memorial Hospital, eventually receiving the title of Chief Nurse Anesthetist, where she spent 30 years. Up until May 2017, Patricia attended continuing education classes for credit at Pottstown Hospital.

Patricia is survived by her loving sister, Gloria Wisloski, with whom she resided, two nieces; Patricia Porte and Cookie Englander, three great nieces; Alena and Jesse Porte of CA, and Alexa Englander of Brooklyn, NY, three great nephews; Oscar, Bo and Davis Maso; two step daughters; Vicki Davidheiser and Jan Campbell.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church, Limerick, PA There will be no viewing. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Broske family plot at St. John of the Baptist Cemetery, Dallas, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Mass cards. Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA is handling the arrangements.
