In Memoriam Helen Endres 1925 - 2017

-

I am sad to announce that Helen Endres, our long-time receptionist, passed away at the age of 91. Helen retired just a few months ago, after 9 years of dedicated service to the Center. Always cheerful and professional, she never had a meal that wasn’t delicious. She surprised us with her computer skills, using email regularly, and doing a competent job on data entry. We will miss her. From her obituary: Helen E. (Blust) Endres, 91, of Pottstown, PA passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Manatawny Manor. She was the wife of the late Norman P. Endres who passed away in 1996.

She was born November 12, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Otto and Hannah (Frederickson) Blust.

Helen worked as an office manager for Northwest Surgical in Chestnut Hill, PA. She then worked for the TriCounty Active Adult Center in Pottstown for nine years. Helen also enjoyed playing bingo and Texas Hold-em with her many friends from the senior center and elsewhere.

Mrs. Endres is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie McKnight, wife of Frank, Lansdale, PA and Gail Loughead, wife of Rich, Pottstown, PA; three grandchildren, Frank, husband of Linnete, Matt, husband of Erin, and Kevin, husband of Sonnet; eight great-grandchildren, Ana, Jamie, Jocie, Ry, Patrick, Franklin, Alex, and Ben; and one grandniece, Juni. She is also survived by many loving friends.
