Do we have free speech or not? Only sometimes I guess when no one is offended by what you say. The white supremacists may say hateful things but it’s their right to do so but maybe not since protesters silence them. Antifa and Black Lives Matter say to kill cops. Where are the protesters against that talk? Hate is hate whether it’s because of skin color, religion, your job or whatever. The one-sidedness needs to stop.

Responding to Barb, you speak about the money that goes into these colleges from the taxpayers. Well I don’t want to pour salt on the wound but as far as Penn State goes, Penn State is not even a state university. Penn State is a state-associated university which means in basic terms that they get the money but they don’t have to open the books. That’s the system.

It would be neat if someone would open up a drive-in movie again. That would be something the younger generation has never experienced.

These people out here pretending that they are freedom fighters with these demonstrations and want peace, no they do not. Be careful. They are fighting out there protesting to bring about violence. They are professionals. They are getting paid to go out there. They know what they’re doing and they want violence.

A Realtor sent me a letter the other day and said that the market is hot right now. She sold a house recently on Charlotte Street. She also said homes are flying off the shelf. I know she can’t be talking about Pottstown. There’s more For Sale signs than you can shake a stick at. Who wants to move to Pottstown?

Attention Chief Drumheller and Mayor Thomas, do you think maybe you can instruct your police officers to enforce all the 25 mph speed limits in the East End? Pull people over, write tickets, not just slaps on the wrist for 10 to 15 mph over. Sit on some of these streets and not out in the open where motorists can see you and slow down. Do something about East High Street, South Keim Street, Center Avenue and especially Industrial Highway to name a few.

To the Borough of Boyertown, why don’t you finish one street before you tear up another street and make a mess there? Common sense tells you that.
