Constance Eleanor Warren Poley of Collegeville 1927-2017
Constance Eleanor Warren Poley, 89, of Collegeville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Connie was born in Philadelphia, PA as the only child to Roy J. and Pearl Warren on October 6, 1927. She went to school at CollegevilleTrappe. She married Karl E. Poley on June 25, 1949 in Trappe and graduated from Ursinus College earlier that year. She worked as a teacher at Phoenixville High School, a faculty/advisor/teacher at Ursinus and was the co-founder of American Lacrosse. She volunteered as a tour guide of the Collegeville-Trappe Historical Society. She is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame and received the Blanche Schultz award at Ursinus College.
Connie is preceded in death by her husband, Karl E. Poley and her daughter-in-law MaryBeth Sarro Poley.
Connie is survived by her children Thomas Poley and his wife Emily, Karla Andre, Leslie Poley, and Brad Poley, her grandchildren Ashley (Andre) Phinney and her husband Parker, Aubrey (Andre) Whitter and her husband Greg, Nicole DiSante and her husband Abraham, Bradley Poley, Drew Andre, Max DiSante, Joey Paul, Tyler Poley, Brianna Poley, and Travis Poley, and her great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Allyson Phinney.
A celebration of life service will be held 9:30 – 11:30 am on Friday, September 1st at Holcombe Funeral Home at 21 Main Street in Trappe. Burial will be private for immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
