Where do you get your information about all these figures that you come up with especially about President Trump and the Secret Service being broke because he’s going here and there? Do you get them from Rachel Maddow of MSNBC? She always has these crazy conspiracy theories almost every week on her show and she’s been proven wrong many times. So if you know if the FBI or Secret Service is broke, show us the figures. Tell us what it is and why. JT

Our enemies don’t have to strike. They can watch us destroy ourselves through hate groups. Wake up America.

I see the Spring-Ford School Board has approved a 4 percent increase for the teacher salaries. Gee thanks. In case you didn’t know the average increase for people on Social Security has been 1 percent over the last five years. Can you guarantee that my taxes are only going up 1 percent a year? Over 17 percent of the school district is over 65 and most likely living on fixed incomes. Guess I’ll have to switch from dog food to cat food to pay my taxes because it’s cheaper. The King

Hawaiian Punch Party, you stated President Obama would have served if drafted. If so why didn’t he do what many of us did, enlist or join the National Guard like President Bush? President Clinton went to Russia to keep out of the draft. President Trump is not the first president not to serve in the military but he has great respect for it unlike Obama. Here’s a question for you, what branch of the service did you serve in?

This is to KM. Well said in your statement about patriots versus traitors. Well spoken. Jay Miller

Not very long ago a caller found it necessary to defame the religious beliefs of Christians everywhere. His name is not important but what is important is God’s house is not defined by those who sinned but defined by those who pray for those who sinned. The caller also voiced the notion that delusion and denial surround the church. Strong words from someone outside looking in. The world is on the wrong path and our attention need be on peace and acceptance. Martha

A simple solution to the heroin problem is contained in the lyrics to an old Steppenwolf song called “The Pusher Man.” Apply the words and the problem will go away.

Responding to the caller about all the truck traffic on Hanover Street and Farmington Avenue, that’s all traffic going down to the treatment plant there. It’s all waste from the one landfill, I guess it’s over in Berks County. I wish some interested parties like Tom Hylton who always comes up with good things for the town would investigate this truck traffic and maybe find a way to stop that. Let them use Route 422 and Route 100. Enough of this chatter.

Way to go Pottstown. You put a bike lane in on Industrial Highway and the bikes are still riding out on the highway. It was safer the other way when the lanes were wider. They aren’t using the bike lane anyway. So just wanted to make a comment because I think it’s kind of dangerous.

I’d like to know what’s wrong with some of these teachers. Pretty soon we’ll have to have a section in the paper called sex with your teacher.

On Wednesday afternoon people in Texas were looking for shelters including in National Parks, more people than there is room for. Also the death count was at 21 and there are still many missing. My point here is Donald Trump comes on national TV and talks about taxes. How many people are concerned about taxes with this tragedy going on? Shame on you Donald Trump. You only think about yourself.

The axis of evil has a new member — Silicon Valley, a place where democratic principles go to die and totalitarian group-speak and group-think are expected. Mark Furlong
