Ruth A. Spatz, 92, of Lower Pottsgrove

Ruth A. Spatz, 92, of Lower Pottsgrove, wife of the late Mark H. Spatz, passed away Friday September 1, 2017 at her residence.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Amelia “Maude” (Machmer) Yoder.

Ruth loved gardening, dancing, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time, in her later years, at the Pottstown Senior Center. She worked at both the New York store in Pottstown and at home as a seamstress. Ruth valued education and provided a way for her children to achieve higher education.

Surviving are two sons David Mark Spatz, and Donald Lee Spatz; two daughters Debra Kay Spatz, and Diane Lynn Spatz; seven grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; four great-great

grandchildren; and one sister Helen Billman.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown. Burial will follow at Highland

Memorial Park, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 5, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Pottstown Senior Center, 288 Moser Rd. #1, Pottstown, PA 19464.
