William B. Manley, 89, of Phoenixville
William B. Manley, 89, beloved husband of Irene E. (Johnson) Manley, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Seasons Hospice.
Born on February 21, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Isaac and Elsie (Schwartz) Manley. He was a graduate of Dobbins Vocational Technical High School and served for the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Manley worked as a Machinist in the Air Force as well as General Electric before retiring.
He was an active member of Washington Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge, where he served as an Usher, Vestryman and volunteered in the Cabin Shop. He and Irene also volunteered in the Civil Air Patrol, Spaatz Squadron #807, Boyertown, PA. He was also an active member of Pennsylvania Live Steamers.
Mr. Manley is also survived by Three Sons: William B., Jr., husband of Judith Manley of Newtown Square; Robert W., husband of Rebecca Manley of Phoenixville; Thomas A., companion of Randee Rosenberger of Exeter Twp., PA; Five grandchildren; One greatgrandson and one niece and nephew. He was predeceased by a Brother, I. Wesley Manley.
A Memorial Service will be held at Washington Memorial Chapel, Rt. 23, Valley Forge, PA on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in the Churchyard. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 10:45 am.
