Harvey J. Beitler Jr., 82, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, September 7, 2017. He was born on May 18, 1935 in Phoenixville, PA, a son of the late Harvey J. Sr. and Gertrude (Hicks) Beitler. Harvey was the husband of Barbara Ann (Merrick) Beitler and was the former owner of the Stony Fork Campgrounds, Wellsboro, PA. He was a coach for PMYC Football, Phoenixville, PA, KYAL Baseball, Kimberton, PA, and the Phoenixville American Legion Baseball. Harvey was a longtime member and Lieutenant in the Kimberton Fire Co. and served on the fair committee for many years. He was formerly employed by C. Raymond Davis, George K. Heebner, Irwin & Leighton and D’Lauria Construction all of the Phoenixville, PA area and enjoyed tending bar at the Stables.
He is survived by his wife: Barb, three sons and daughters-in-law: Harvey III and Candice Beitler of Coatesville, PA, Thomas Beitler and Maggie O’Brien of Brownsville, PA, Ronald Beitler and Millie Reyes of Lansdale, PA, daughter: Diane Beitler-Kelemen of Douglasville, PA, step children: Steven and Amber Worden, Chad and Cheryl Worden, Renee and Matt Carson, all of Wellsboro, PA, brother and sister-in-law: David and Barbara Beitler of Royersford, PA, sister: Barbara Ann Pizii of Pottstown, PA, 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
