I don’t know what the NFL players are trying to prove by protesting and not standing up for our anthem. They are disrespecting our country and showing other countries they can get away with it. Mr. President, you are right.

The eastbound Route 422 on-ramp at Armand Hammer Boulevard has a stop sign. The police should station themselves there because they’re blowing through it and almost hitting other cars including myself. They act like the stop sign is not even there, and it’s dangerous.

The person who wanted to know about the Air Force veterans burial, the phone number to call is 1-800-827-1000. You may also call your local VA regional office which would be Montgomery County Veterans Affairs office 610-278-3285. They should help to process the applications for burial and burial allowances.

Recently my cousin was in town visiting. He now lives in North Carolina but grew up in Pottstown. We came down West High Street past borough hall, up Hanover Street and down King Street. He couldn’t believe how run down and depressing the town was. Also kudos to the parking attendant hanging parking tickets on cars on High Street. Good job. That’ll really get people back.

Did anyone see the news footage the other day of Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham being chased down the hallway and into his office by the disabled people who had gathered in the hallway at the Capitol? What a joke.

Thank you Bally Borough for approving the Section 8 housing that was built behind the park. We used to have a peaceful borough. Who is going to enforce the speed limits on these side streets and the curfew at the park?

Seventy percent of the NFL have not walked a mile in the shoes of their ancestors either. Tell me how these millionaires are oppressed?

As Robin Roberts said on Good Morning America the other day, “Past presidents doused the flames on prejudice, President Trump stirs them up.”

USA Today on Sept. 26 on the front page, “Gruesome dog testing by the VA draws outrage.” I see they’re testing over 300 dogs and they say when they’re done with the dogs they’ll be put to sleep. Talk about Donald Trump worrying about the VA people, what about dogs? They have feelings too.

Every time I switch Fox News on I can’t keep it on for more than a few seconds. They’re in total denial about everything — the health care mess, anything that Trump has said. They’re in totally denial so I can’t stand watching it.

To the person concerned about the burial of the Air Force veteran, contact Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 1-717-865-5254.

I’m watching my program and the picture goes off and a signal comes on and it says “emergency alert.” Why can’t they do that on Sunday during the football game? Then there would be nothing lost.

Remember when Trump said he was going to Washington and clean everything up and he was going to drain the swamp? Well the swamp is six feet deeper and Washington is so toxic it’s unbelievable. Republicans have brought the government to a complete standstill. How Obama was able to get anything passed with people like Mitch McConnell is beyond me. So Trump has really drained the swamp hasn’t he?

Why does it seem America’s main focus is on how some believe African Americans are being discriminated against when we have many foreigners wanting to annihilate our country as a whole. Get your heads out of the sand people and focus on how weak we appear to these enemies with all this stuff. Not only are we being bombarded with state and local tests, now we have national safety alert tests. Scary times.

I’ve got a great idea for Pottstown since they are $2.4 million and change in debt. How about getting rid of that airport up there? It’s not even in Pottstown when you think about it. They just want to keep it for the name. I’d rather see them put a housing development up there and make some money. They’ve got to let it go.

One moron takes a $25,000 plane ride to go visit his son. Lady Trump takes a plane ride to Canada to go watch a tennis match. Meanwhile my pocket gets lighter and lighter. Right on, right on. Trump’s pockets get deeper and mine lower. Fact

Since the president is concerned about showing respect for our flag and our values that it stands for maybe he should set an example and show some respect to Sen. McCain, a hero who gave his blood, sweat and tears for our country. Make America civil again.

I often wondered what my parents did to kill time before the creation of the Internet. I asked my six brothers and sisters and they didn’t know either.
