Clyde M. Brumbach, of Earlville, went home to the Lord on Tuesday morning, October 17, 2017. He was 91 years old having been born in Oley Township, on January 9, 1926. He was happily married for 67 years to the late Arline J. Brumbach (Herbst), with whom he’s now reunited.

Clyde was the son of the late Ellwood G. Brumbach and Florence (Livengood) Brumbach, and was the last surviving member of his sibling brothers Earl and Paul, and sister Mary Jane (Keim).

Surviving are his two sons, Jeff, husband of Nancy (Eshbach), of New Berlinvill­e, and Jim, husband of Debbie (Bender), of Earlville. He had seven grandchild­ren (Amy, Adam, Kelly, Drew, Dan, Jake, and Katie) and 4 great-grandchild­ren (Ethan, Emily, Ollie, and Paxton), all of whom he loved dearly.

God, family, friends, America, and integrity were of the utmost importance to him. He loved his country, having served in WWII, during and after the war, from 1944 to 1946, in the U.S. Navy. Clyde enjoyed the outdoors and spent many springs and falls hunting and fishing along the Manatawny Creek. He and his wife, Arline, also enjoyed travel as they visited many countries in Europe, North America and all but one of the fifty states. Clyde was the real estate and insurance broker of his company, Brumbach Associates, Inc. He continued conducting the business he started, until May 2017. He was past president of the Pottstown Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as past president of the Central Montgomery County Associatio­n of Realtors. Clyde made friends, wherever he walked, as he had that God-given gift of the Holy Spirit. He was a member of Living Faith Lutheran Church of Boyertown.

A funeral service will be held Saturday October 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Philadelph­ia Ave., Gilbertsvi­lle, with Rev. David Johnson officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in Clyde’s memory to Living Faith Lutheran Church, PO Box 605, Boyertown, PA 19512.
