When will judges stop siding with polluters? First Marcellus Shale, now the Dakota Access Pipeline. It’s disgusting. People want clean energy. We don’t want this stuff in our backyards.

I am a widow losing my home in January due to a mortgage my husband took out eight years ago. We didn’t understand it and the terms were wrong. Now he’s gone and I’m losing my home to foreclosure. Nowhere to go and no help from anyone. I have a registered therapy dog and they won’t let him in anywhere. It’s the law that they have to let him in and they’re denying him. My health is really bad. Please help about what to do. Linda Hallman

Once again Trump puts his foot in his big mouth this time about being the only president to call families of fallen soldiers. This man needs to just keep his mouth shut or permanently put his foot in his mouth to keep it quiet. Fact

Why would Donald Trump falsely claim that President Obama and other presidents did not contact families of fallen troops? I’ll tell you why. Because he himself did not contact the families of the four soldiers that died in Niger about 12 days ago. There are records that Presidents Obama and Bush contacted the families of every fallen soldier on their watch. Trump always tries to shift the blame to someone else when he’s wrong.

Pennsylvania Cyber Charter Schools have a 48 percent graduation rate. Now they want to add another one. None of the present cyber charter schools have met the state level of 70 percent of success in the last four years.

Here’s an idea. Instead of taking a knee and continuing the division and disrespect how about standing up and bringing a solution or trying to bring unity? Just as much black blood is represented on the flag. The true heroes are the ones who have fought to make our country united. And Jay Miller, how dare you compare a miscarriage to a planned and paid-for abortion. So misguided. Lady Di

There’s something wrong with the people who are in charge of these schools. Artificial turf isn’t needed. They want the senior citizens to pay even more money now every year in taxes to give the kids fake grass to play on. When those kids play in their backyard or play at the park they’re playing on real grass, and for hundreds of years the kids have played on real grass. Somebody has to stop these people who are in charge of the schools.

This is to the person who says Ed Rendell told us we would have plenty of money from gambling if we had the casinos. Only one problem, the House and Senate are controlled by Republicans, have been and still is. So write your letter to the Republican Senate and House in Harrisburg and ask where the money is. Don’t blame somebody who has been out of office for 20 years or more. Jay Miller

From the beginning of time there have been many great nations — Greece, Rome, Egypt, China etc. Now we have the United States and like all the other nations once greed has gotten into politics that nation fails and becomes a third world country. The Scientist

I was reading the Sound Off about the person complaining about people tailgating and sticking up for what they usually do which is to pull over when people tailgate them. The people tailgating shouldn’t be tailgating. Remember when you took your driving test you’re supposed to be a car’s length behind not up somebody’s bleep so you should have flunked your test.

When it comes to children today having respect and any kind of mannerisms as we did as baby boomers or the next generation, it’s kind of hard to teach that at home being the parent when the parent of the child with no respect has barely graduated high school or is probably still in school and probably has no respect which is probably why they have the baby. It has come to this. In the interest of maligning Trump, a local columnist recently characterized Iran as a Middle East peace broker. That peace broker is presently fomenting instability in Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Bahrain. Mark Furlong

On Oct. 9 some uninformed soul posted that Amity Township doesn’t know what they’re doing because they closed Monocacy Creek Road. Well, Monocacy Creek Road is a state road. The state closed the road to repair a box culvert. So please don’t blame other people for your misinformation.

I cannot wait until all the men on television and in the movies and anywhere else go to school and learn how to shave their face.
