Earl S. Shaw, 91, of Douglassville
Earl S. Shaw, 91, of Douglassville, formerly of Bechtelsville, widower of Dympna M. (Donnelly) Shaw, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Pottstown HospitalTower Health.
Born in Atlantic City, NJ, he was the son of Mary (Stockton) and Earl Shaw.
He served in the Navy during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, where he was an electrician on the USS Proteus. Earl worked as an electrician for Otis Elevators in Philadelphia, Central Panel and lastly working for Mead Packing retiring in 1991.
He was a devoted family man and always was eager to lend his talents to his family and friends.
Surviving are one son Alan J. Shaw, husband of Pamela; two daughters, Lynda A., wife of Richard M. Hiltner and Stacey M., wife of William E. Romano; eight grandsons and two great-grandsons.
He was predeceased by his wife Dympna of 50 years, one brother Harry S. Shaw and two sisters, Erma Shaw and Lillian Shaw.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA. A viewing will be held from 9-9:45AM at the church. Burial will be in Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery.
