Police find suspected hit-and-run vehicle
West Pikeland police say they have found the pickup truck they believe struck two women and their dog.
WEST PIKELAND » Police believe they found the vehicle that was allegedly involved in a recent hit-andrun that injured two pedestrians and their dog.
West Pikeland Township Police used social media to ask the public for help finding the driver responsible for injuring a woman and her daughter who were out walking their dog on Oct. 20 when they were hit by a pickup truck shortly before 5 p.m. in the 1900 block of Art School Road.
A 16-year-old female victim was air-lifted to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in serious condition. Police said on Friday that they located the pickup and identified a person of interest. Police did not name that person as of Friday evening.
Police had described the alleged striking vehicle as a Chevrolet Silverado crew cab four-door with lettering in the door, black door handles, a silver/black grill and black trim around the wheel wells that was last seen traveling southbound on Art School Road heading into West Vincent Township.
Police obtained photographs that showed the suspected vehicle minutes before the incident. The photographs were enhanced on Tuesday with the assistance of the Chester County Detectives Forensic Unit and were released on social media.
