Carolyn Ellis, 90

Carolyn (Rowdon) Ellis, 90, wife of the late Edgar T. Ellis, of Kimberton, PA, died on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, PA.

Born in Bangor, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Stella G. (Fisher) Rowdon.

She was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1945.

Carolyn worked as a Teachers Aide for the Chester County Intermediate Unit for many years.

She was a former Committeewoman for the Chester County Republican Committee.

She was a longtime member of Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kimberton, PA, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir and was a member of the ELCW.

She enjoyed traveling and was committed to her family.

Surviving are: daughter, Carol wife of Peter Slack of Mechanicsburg, PA, son, Stephen husband of Katherine Ellis of Downingtown, 4 grandchildren: Timothy husband of Surina Slack, Kristen Slack, Elizabeth, wife of Michael Anastasio, Eric Ellis. 1 greatgrandchild: Michael Anthony Anastasio III.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Rd., Phoenixville, PA at 11:00a.m.

Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Spring City, PA.

A viewing will be held at the Church on Wednesday morning from 10:00a.m to 10:45a.m.
