Janet D. Moyer, 82, of Boyertown

Janet D. (Moatz) Moyer, 82, of Boyertown, wife of the late Dee. F. Moyer, passed away on Friday, Dec. 1 at Chestnut Knoll Nursing Home.

Born in Colebrookdale Township, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Agnes E. (Moyer) Moatz.

Janet was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Boyertown. She worked as a banquet manger at the former Washington Inn Restaurant and for Moyers Catering. She was also an active member of the Boyertown Senior Center.

Surviving is daughter, Cindy L. Richard, wife of David; son, Andrew D. Moyer, husband of Janice K.; brothers, Donald Moatz, husband of Gloria, Paul Moatz Jr., husband of Marian, Kenneth Moatz, husband of Bernice, and Richard Moatz, companion of Glenna Frey; five grandchildren; four great grandsons; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Bernice Prutzman.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, Dec. 5, 11 a.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
