Perk School holds off Haverford School

The Perkiomen School boys basketball team continued its unbeaten run to start the season, using a strong second half to down visiting Haverford School, 78-66 on Tuesday evening.

The Panthers (3-0 overall) took a 37-35 lead into the half, then used a 26-18 advantage in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

Nick Guadarrama and Chandler Brooks led the way with 16 points apiece while Tautvydas Kupstas followed with 14. KJ Rhodes and Reggie James added a respective 12 and 11 points in the win.

Christian Ray had a game-high 20 points for the Fords while Jameer Nelson finished with 15 on the night.

against Mercy Vo-Tech.

Maddy Parisi had 12 points in the loss while Jill Kachmar followed with nine.

Boys swimming

PERKIOMEN SCHOOL 81, WESTTOWN 64 » Ryan O’Donnell was among the key point producers for the Panthers in their nonleague meet with Westtown School.

O’Donnell scored firsts in the 200 I.M. (2:41) and 500

free (4:55). He also swam legs of the Panthers’ winning 200 free relay (1:57) and 400 free relay (4:38).

WESTTOWN 83, PERKIOMEN SCHOOL 73 » Lilly Jacobs and Sarah Murray were the brightest spots for the Golden Panthers in their

non-league meet with Westtown School.

Jacobs had a pair of individual firsts for Perkiomen in the 200 free (2:45) and 500 free (5:37.5), as did Murray in the 200 I.M. (2:49) and 100 fly (1:20). They also swam legs of the Panthers’ winning 200 medley relay (2:34.5) and 200 free relay (2:16).
