Borough gets a hand with holiday decorations
PHOENIXVILLE » Phoenixville is getting some extra help with getting into the holiday spirit this year.
The Philadelphia Home and Garden Show, which will be coming to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in February, has offered a helping hand to Phoenixville this holiday season after learning about the borough’s desire to step up their holiday decorating.
“At the show each year, we offer hundreds of ways for residents of Phoenixville and the greater Philadelphia region to spruce up their homes and gardens,” said Assistant Show Manager Jenna Naffin. “We thought it only made sense to be a major part of the effort to bring festive design to downtown for the holidays.”
Marketplace Events, which produces the Philadelphia Home and Garden Show, recently learned that one of its new vendors, Cameron Peters Floral Design of Phoenixville, had been leading the effort to improve the holiday decor in downtown Phoenixville. In response, the Philadelphia Home and Garden Show partnered with Cameron Peters to supply 50 of the 270 wreaths that have been adopted by residents and businesses throughout the Phoenixville region.
The wreaths are accented with red bows and were hung on light poles along Bridge and Main streets in late November.
“We are thrilled that the Philly Home and Garden Show has stepped up to help us fully realize our vision for the holidays with their generous sponsorship and showing how much they care about Phoenixville,” said Cameron Peters, owner of Cameron Peters Floral Design. “We thank them and all of the residents and business owners who supported each and every one of the wreaths.”
On Friday, Feb. 16, the 2018 Philadelphia Home and Garden Show will feature Phoenixville Night. Dozens of businesses from the Phoenixville Area Business Association, including Cameron Peters Floral Design, will offer food and drink samples and sell their wares to show off all that the revitalized downtown business district has to offer.
