I second the motion about Tom Hylton being borough manager. He’s very knowledgeable about finances. He understands we can’t pay money out if it’s not coming in which is what most borough officials don’t understand. We need businesses and we need places to stay here. Now Just Cabinets is closing. Every week something else is leaving. About 75 percent of all the stores in town are closed. So Tom Hylton would make a great choice for borough manager. Are You Up For The Job Tom?

Could someone please tell me how a hospital can become a nonprofit organization with the profits they get from operations and procedures? Does that mean the patient gets a break on his operation?

I’ve lived in Manatawny Village over two years and we have outdoor lock boxes for mail. Recently I have been getting other people’s mail and vice versa. One day my neighbor brought me seven pieces of mail they delivered to her. I called the post office and they are aware of the problem having several different carriers. However then coming home after 8 one night I noticed the mail truck delivering mail after dark with only a street light lit near the boxes.

It is sad how the people you were once so close with can become just another stranger you don’t know.

To even suggest that Tower Health is a nonprofit is absolutely ridiculous. They have paid hundreds of millions of dollars to purchase five area hospitals including Pottstown and Phoenixville. Do not, I repeat do not, remove the hospitals from the tax rolls. They are not really nonprofit.

This is for Jay Miller. The election was a year ago and you still have not accepted what the U.S. citizens wanted by voting Trump into office. To the person who said that other countries owe us billions and billions of dollars and why isn’t Trump demanding that they pay us back, that would be a very stupid thing to do because we owe other countries billions and billions of dollars too. If we start demanding that those countries pay us then the countries we owe money to could start demanding that we pay them.
