Pottstown: A “Holiday Hear-o Food Drive” event is being hosted by Advanced Hearing Care, 1800 E. High St., Suite 330. Help make this holiday season memorable for Pottstown families in need by bringing your food item donations to their office. Donations are being collected now through Dec. 29. Items can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All food donations will go to the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communitie­s. Their Food Services Program provides emergency food assistance, daily meals, food programs for seniors, winter holiday baskets and a healthy pantry initiative for the residents of Pottstown. Specific items that are currently needed include tomato products, canned soup, cereal, macaroni and cheese, jelly and canned fruit. Elverson: The Owen J. Roberts Foundation and OJR Friends of the Arts Tree Festival will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Wyndsor Farm, 2550 Ridge Road (Route 23). Trees are decorated with some amazing items from generous local businesses. Raffle tickets will be for sale at the event. Cash or credit card accepted. If your name is drawn you win the entire pre-lit tree/stocking or you can just take the incredible adornments. These trees are valued at up to $1,000. Stockings up to $500. Some items on the Raffle Table are poinsettia­s, holiday foliage, handmade horse shoe tree, PSU wreath, delicious desserts and a whole lot more. Handmade ornaments created by the elementary school children will be adorning trees and will be for sale. Sweets are being baked by students from the middle and high school family and consumer sciences students. Sounds of the season will be performed by middle and high school choral groups. Sit and create a “take home craft” with your child. OJR graduate and children’s book author/illustrato­r Mark C. Collins will be reading his book “The Christmas Cookies.” Santa will be available for photos and a chat.

Pottstown: A Dodgeball Tournament Fundraiser will be hosted on Saturday by the Stichter Lodge #254 (Pottstown) F & AM and the Spring-Ford Masonic Lodge #553 F & AM. Registrati­on at 9:30 a.m. and the first game begins at 10 a.m. at the Pottstown High School, 750 N. Washington St. Proceeds to benefit Christmas presents for veterans at the Southeaste­rn Veterans Hospital.
