Long-distance baskets were a definite friend to the Perkiomen School boys basketball team Wednesday.

Three-pointers accounted for almost half the Panthers’ offense in their 68-32 roll over Germantown Academy. They racked up 11 on the way to finishing with three players reaching double figures in points and a fourth falling just short of that mark.

Reggie James got six of his game-high 15 points from 3-point range. Nick Guadarrama followed with 13, and Sam Corrao chipped in with 10.

Perkiomen was particularly strong in the second half, outscoring the Patriots 30-11 to pad a 38-21 halftime advantage. HILL SCHOOL 71, EPISCOPAL AC. 55 » The Blues rode a balanced attack to a non-league victory over the Churchmen, avenging a semifinal-round state tournament loss when the schools met during the previous season.

Nick Alikakos led three other double-digit scoring teammates with 16 points. The Hill (4-2) used an 8-0 run to start the second half, aided by the front-court play of Xavier Mayo and Seth Maxwell. The added ball pressure of guards Chase Audige, Bennett Booth-Gente and Daqun Morris — he committed to playing college ball for Division III Randolph Macon after the game — proved to be too much for EA. WEST-MONT CHRISTIAN 62, WOODLYNDE 31 » Jusuan Jones headed a trio of double-figure scorers that propelled the Wings past Woodlynde School in TriCounty League play.

Jones netted 19 points, two more than teammate Cole Johnson’s 17. Francis Mensah followed with another 12 for West-Mont.
