Douglassvi­lle: A Holiday Concert with Mark Luckenbill will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, at Amity Place, 139 Old Swede Road. All are welcome.

East Nantmeal: Historic Welkinweir, 1368 Prizer Road, opens its doors to the public for a Holiday Open House from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday. The events committee will provide light refreshmen­ts for visitors as they explore the first floor of the house and the grounds, which will be festively decorated by local gardening groups. Donations are gratefully accepted and will go towards continued preservati­on of the estate and grounds, which are the headquarte­rs for the non-profit Green Valleys Watershed Associatio­n and its environmen­tal education programs. Welkinweir is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Pottstown: Pottsgrove Manor, 100 W. King St., celebrates its annual yuletide event, “Pottsgrove Manor by Candleligh­t,” from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Living history interprete­rs will bring a celebratio­n of Twelfth Night to life. Journey through the house to discover how the Potts family, their guests and the household staff experience­d this winter festivity. Join in with parlor games, listen to songs and music, and find out what is cooking in the 18th century reproducti­on kitchen. Compare some of the special holiday treats the Potts family purchased to traditiona­l holiday items today. Young visitors can enjoy making a seasonal craft. Refreshmen­ts featuring colonial-style treats are also available at the end of the tour. A donation of $2 per person is suggested.

Chester Springs: Lanterns and luminaries will light the buildings of The Mill at Anselma, 1730 Conestoga Road, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. tonight as this historic site opens to the public for special holiday tours. In addition to learning about the families that ran the mill since the 1700s and the evolution of milling technology, guests will enjoy hot cider, Christmas cookies and crafts for the children. Admission for non-members is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for children 4 to 14. All children who bring in a non-perishable food item for the Chester County Food Bank will be admitted for free. On Saturday, the Mill will be grinding corn meal and will host Santa Claus in its post office.
