Steel River Playhouse presents ‘A Christmas Carol, The Musical’
“A Christmas Carol, The Musical” continues at Steel River Playhouse through Dec. 17. This adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story was written by Broadway heavy hitters Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Suessical). They both breathe fantastic new life into the classic tale, which is the most beloved holiday story of all time.
“A Christmas Carol, the Musical” is a noteworthy fable that ultimately shows us that choosing love will bring us redemption and acceptance of our fellow man. Bring your whole family to enjoy this wonderful, uplifting story with beautiful costumes and a fabulous orchestra that audiences have come to expect from Steel River Playhouse.
SRP’s production boasts holiday season a warm sparkle, starring the talented Joe Ciresi stars as Scrooge, along with Amanda Morrell as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Michael Thorton as the Ghost of Christmas Present and Julie Preston as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Rounding out the cast are other local favorites such as Sebastian Antonio as Marley, Rob Tilley as Cratchit and Mason Keith as Tiny Tim, along with all the other wellknown characters from this classic Christmas hit.
