Diaz, Baker lead S-F in rout of C.B. West

Nestor Diaz and Noah Baker combined for 34 points as the Spring-Ford boys basketball team rolled over Central Bucks West, 50-30, on the opening day of the Pioneer Athletic Conference/ Suburban One Challenge Friday night.

Diaz scored a game-high 18 points, followed by Baker’s 16 for the Rams. Mike Munari had a team-high 12 points for C.B. West, which was held to singledigi­t scoring in each of the final three quarters by Spring-Ford’s defensive effort. CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 65, POTTSGROVE 57 » Kyle Cassidy and Nick Roggio led the Patriots to a win over the Falcons during the opening round of the Pottsgrove TipOff Tournament.

Cassidy scored a game-high 25 while Roggio followed with 24 as

C.B. East pulled away after holding a 33-29 lead at the half. Justin Robinson led Pottsgrove with 15 points while Manny Clark followed with 14. OWEN J. ROBERTS 49, GREAT VALLEY 37 » Sean Praweckyj and Shyheed May combined for 26 points to key the Wildcats’ victory over the Patriots in the opening round of the Great Valley Tournament.

Praweckyj finished as the game’s scoring leader with 14 points, two more than May’s 12. OJR had the edge in rebounding, 37-34, with Dawson Stuart clearing nine boards and Sa’Vaughn Davidheise­r seven. KENNETT 66, PHOENIXVIL­LE 59 » Mitchell Kosara scored a game-high 32 points to lead the Blue Devils to a win over the Phantoms during the Phoenixvil­le Tip-Off Tournament.

Kosara finished 13-for-14 at the free-throw line and added a trio of 3-pointers while Ben Lesher followed with 12 points as Kennett bounced back from a 1210 deficit after the opening quarter. Brendan Jenkins paced Phoenixvil­le with 14 points while Colton Brown followed with 13. KJ Quinn added 11 points for the Phantoms. Chris Arcidiacon­o knocked down 17 of 21 freethrow attempts on the way to a game-high 34 points while Charles Dominick followed with 10 points including a pair of 3-pointers. Chris Clark led all Upper Merion scorers with 12 points. WEST-MONT CHRISTIAN 41, AIM AC. 38 » Jsuan Jones scored a team-high 11 points to help the Wings edge AIM Academy in nonleague play.

Francis Mensah and Cole Johnson each contribute­d nine points to West-Mont’s offense, with Mensah also blocking five shots.
