Walter J. Zubris, 93, of Oaks
Walter J. Zubris, 93, husband of Theresa M. (Klem) Zubris of Oaks, PA passed away in his home on Thursday, December 14, 2017.
He was born on February 29, 1924 in Girardville, PA to the late Walter Zubris and Theresa Zubris Dronis. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and then worked as a boiler engineer at the Norristown State Hospital retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Phoenixville.
Walter was an avid hunter and fisherman. He always enjoyed sharing his favorite hunting and fishing stories with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Josita wife of Todd Miller, Kimberly wife of David Quay; 4 grandchildren: Tricia, Jessica, Matthew, and Sara.
He was preceded in death by his sisters: Anne Medrick and Mary McGill
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Chapel, 604 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John J. Newns officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the chapel on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
