On December 11, 2017, Metropolit­an Edison Company (Met-Ed), Pennsylvan­ia Electric Company (Penelec), Pennsylvan­ia Power Company (Penn Power), and West Penn Power Company (West Penn Power) filed a petition with the Pennsylvan­ia Public Utility Commission (PUC) requesting approval of their Default Service Programs for the period June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2023. This filing is in accordance with the Pennsylvan­ia statute and the PUC’s rules and orders establishi­ng the terms and conditions under which the Companies will continue to procure power for their customers who are not shopping with alternativ­e electric generation suppliers.
