IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FUTURE ELECTRIC RATES

On December 11, 2017, Metropolitan Edison Company (Met-Ed), Pennsylvania Electric Company (Penelec), Pennsylvania Power Company (Penn Power), and West Penn Power Company (West Penn Power) filed a petition with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) requesting approval of their Default Service Programs for the period June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2023. This filing is in accordance with the Pennsylvania statute and the PUC’s rules and orders establishing the terms and conditions under which the Companies will continue to procure power for their customers who are not shopping with alternative electric generation suppliers. The purpose of this notice is to provide you with the opportunity to review the filing, which can be found at www.firstenergycorp.com.
