Sarah A. ‘Sally’ Freed, 77, of Phoenixville
Sarah A. “Sally” Freed, 77, wife of The late Leon C. Freed, of Phoenixville, PA, died Friday, December 22, 2017 in the Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.
Born on June 5, 1940 in Harrisburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn (Miller) Kopp. She was a 1958 graduate of Phoenixville High School, and a 1961 graduate of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Freed worked as a registered nurse for the Phoenixville Hospital for over 35 years. She worked in the Emergency Room for 20 years. She volunteered for the HOPE organization at St. Ann’s Church and the Phoenixville Clinic. Mrs. Freed also enjoyed trips to the casino, bingo and summers in Ocean City, NJ.
Mrs. Freed is survived by four children, Harry P. Freed of Phoenixville, PA, Daniel C. Freed of Limerick, PA, Timothy F., husband of Amanda Freed, of Sinking Spring, PA, and Kathryn A., wife of the late Theodore Jensen, of Catonsville, MD; grandson, Tyler Jensen; granddaughter, Ava Freed; brother, Charles F., husband of Gwen Kopp of Charlotte, NC; and several Nieces and Nephews,
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass at St. Ann Chapel, 604 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Burial will be held in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 9:00 am 10:30 am Thursday morning at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
