William G. ‘Bill’ Stauffer, 86, of Reading
William G. “Bill” Stauffer, 86, of Reading, Exeter Twp., husband of the late Joyce A. (Fronheiser) Stauffer, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 at Berkshire Center.
Born in Boyertown, he was the son of the late Raymond W. and Hannah (Rothenberger) Stauffer.
Bill was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bechtelsville. He worked for Boyertown Casket Company for 38 years and then Bally Block until he retired. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and painting. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather who loved spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and family.
Surviving are daughters Susan K. Rhoads, wife of Dennis, Carol A. Prokay, wife of Mark, and Judy R. Walsh, wife of Wayne; sisters Shirley Mauger and Linda Bowman; eight grandchildren; 12 and soon to be 13 greatgrandchildren; and companion Ruth Reinhard. Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Stauffer.
A funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 29, 11:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1749 S. Main St., Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Burial will follow in Bechtelsville Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30AM to 10:45AM at the church.
