Charles E. Ludwig, 83, of Phoenixville

Charles E. “Charlie” Ludwig, 83, husband of the late Margaret W. (Benjamin) Ludwig, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Seasons Hospice.

Born on August 13, 1934 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Elmer and Ella (Anderson) Ludwig.

Charlie was a 1952 graduate of Norristown High School.

He worked as a Maintenance Technician at Taylor Fiber in Betzwood, PA for many years.

He was a member of Phoenixville Lodge #75 F&AM, and member of First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville.

He loved mechanics, landscaping and fishing.

Surviving are son Charles E. Ludwig Jr.; daughter, Mary Ludwig; Deborah (Joseph) Ferretti; son Frank (Paula) Ludwig; daughter Winifred (Christopher) Pas; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Rev. Robert (Diana) Ludwig; sister, Katherine Mueller, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by daughter Elaine Turns; granddaughter Jessica Pas; and grandson Carl Ferretti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main St. at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Mark Young officiating.

Burial will follow in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Friday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
