P.J. Kakos won the 113-pound weight class to head Perkiomen Valley’s showing in the Ralph Wetzel Holiday Classic Saturday at Hatboro-Horsham.

Kakos capped the sweep of his weight class with a 3-1 decision of Conestoga’s Morgan Lofland in the goldmedal bout. The Viking sophomore (6-0) had scored two falls and a major decision in earlier matchups.

PV’s other medalists were Stephen Coleman at 120 and Jahir Holmes at 285 (both fifth), Gavin Euker at 220 (sixth), Willie Mathis at 195 (seventh) and Cody Jefferies at 132 (eighth). They keyed the Vikes’ ninth-place team finish in the 28-school field.

Chase Banyai was the highest-placing wrestler for Pottsgrove, the senior scoring a silver medal at 132. Banyai’s run was halted by Downingtow­n East’s Lukas Richie, who posted a 5-1 decision in the medal round.

Charles Sithens followed Banyai with a fourth at 120, and Skylar McLeod had a similar finish at 220. Isaac Hanna went fifth at 285, and Stephen Hennelly sixth at 152, for the 12thplace Falcons. CONESTOGA VALLEY » Jason Zollers won his weight class to lead Owen J. Roberts’ showing at the Conestoga Valley Holiday Classic.

Zollers went to overtime to score a 6-4 decision in the 170-pound bracket’s title bout. Dan Mancini, Cole Meredith and Antonio Petrucelli all had silver-medal finishes for the Wildcats, with Ricky McCutchen third, Connor Quinn fourth and David

Roberts finished third in the 26-team field (166 points) behind Central Dauphin (199) and Central Mountain (169). SPRING-FORD 59, LIBERTY (WA) 53 » Noah Baker led a trio of double figure scorers as the Rams downed their Washington-based opponent during the San Diego Surf & Slam Tournament.

Baker finished with 15 points while Harrison Pierce and Nestor Diaz added 13 points apiece each with a pair of 3-pointers in the win. Spring-Ford used a 30-23 advantage in the second half to overcome a onepoint halftime deficit.

Brendan Jenkins emerged as Phoenixvil­le’s statistica­l leader, his 14 points and eight rebounds both team highs. K.J. Quinn chipped in with another 11 points for Phoenixvil­le (36), which trailed Absegami by a 23-20 count after the first half. Wilson had 10 to lead the Muhls (4-3) over the Blazers (4-5) in a non-divisional pairing of Berks Conference member schools.

Kaylie Walker had 14 points for Daniel Boone. POTTSGROVE 41, EXETER 39 » Sierra Potts scored three points in the game’s final 34 seconds to key the Falcons’ non-league victory over the Eagles.

After Exeter erased a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit, taking the lead on a Morgan Truckermil­ler layup, Potts made 1-of-2 from the line to force a tie. After a missed layup by Exeter, Potts hit the game-winning layup with 3.6 seconds left.

Sydney Mowery led Pottsgrove with 13 points and Potts added 12.
