Amelia Lynn Bechtel, age 68, of Phoenixville

Amelia Lynn Bechtel, age 68, wife of Donald L. Bechtel, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, PA.

Born on December 26, 1949 in Binghamton, New York, she was a daughter of the late Dr. James and Amelia (Mellor) Fancher. In her early years, she worked as a field engineer for IBM. While raising her family, she was a homemaker. In later years, she worked in retail sales and lastly, was a Nanny to her grandchildren.

In addition, she is survived by her daughter, Erica Lynn (Dominic) Parrotta of Phoenixville, PA; son Donald L. “JR” (Leslie) Bechtel Jr. of Frazer, PA; grandchildren, Nicky Argento-Glarner, Lexi Bechtel, Ethan Parrotta and Liam Parrotta; two brothers, James A. (Alexis) Fancher III of San Pedro, CA and Gregory Scott Fancher of CA. Amelia was pre-deceased by son Christopher J. Bechtel and brother William Mellor Fancher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral and burial at St. George’s Episcopal Church located at Ardmore Ave and Darby Rd., Ardmore, PA on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Cynthia Krommes and Rev. Barbara Abbott. Burial will be held in the Memorial Garden outside the church.
