Dorothy E. Bowman, 79, of Rahns, PA passed away on Sunday December 31, 2017.
She was born in Norristown, PA on May 24, 1938.
Dottie has been living in Rahns since 1986, formerly of Houston, TX, East Norriton, Pa, and Conshohocken, Pa. Graduate of Conshohocken High School, class of 1956.
She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, of Schwenksville, Pa.
Member of Conshohocken High School Alumni Association, Former member of Girl Scouts of America, adult leader Cub Scout Den and adult Girl Scout Leader. Former member and Past Worthy Advisor of Lafayette Chapter, Rainbow for Girls. Member of Radiant Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Past President of Women’s Civic Club of Schwenksville, Pa. Member of Board of Advisory for Perkiomen Valley Library at Schwenksville. Member of Board of Directors, and former co-President (with husband), of Cosmopolitan Dance Club. Member of hand chime choir at Generations of Indian Valley Senior Center of Souderton, Pa. Member of Lansdale Community Concert Association. She enjoyed playing Pinochle, sewing, doing Seek a Word puzzles, and relaxing at Pocono Mountain home.
Daughter of the Late John P. Rahm, Jr. & Elizabeth ( Duey ) Rahm.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John W. “Jack” Bowman, Jr., Rahns PA; Daughter: Karen Anne (& William Graper) Bowman, Spring TX; Daughter: Janet Lynn (& Steve) Neumann, Houston TX; Son: John Wilson (& Bobbi) Bowman, III, Downingtown PA; Also survived by 3 Granddaughters Stevie, Jackie, Julia, & One Grandchild On The Way.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother John P. Rahm, III
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Jerusalem Lutheran Church 311 Second Street, Schwenksville, Pa 19473.
Clergy: The Rev. Daniel Schaefer officiating.
Friends may call on Friday Evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home 300 Fayette Street Conshohocken PA and Saturday Morning from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.
Interment will be private on Monday in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
